I spent some time today wondering about the several hundred photographs posted here which show smoke or mist within them and it got me thinking in relation to orbs -- are photos of mist or smoke (aka in circles nowadays as ectoplasm) real, or just "smoke"?
It has been said that orbs are nothing more than the flaws known to exist in digital photography but what about these mists we have seen all these years? Are apparitions the only things we should post here? Post yo… Continue
There are 2 people who enjoy Halloween tremendously. Me, and my friend, Brian Barthlow. Each season, we look forward to scaring the shit out of children. C'mon! They deserve it. In this photo from 2007, I'm Michael. Brian is the satisfied vampire. LOL!
Don't you find it rather strange that Adam was the name of the first human being, the first creation of man by God. Also, how scientists chose to name the origin of all things an ATOM - which sounds quite similar to ADAM?
Just a thought for those who believe in evolution as the reason for man's existence... Continue

Just a little thought for you to think about...
What if? Suppose you go out one evening on an investigation and you encounter paranormal activity and it's because you were merely having a good night... because you were out on one of those nights YOU could TUNE IN.
It's a known fact that psychics, mediums, are able to communicate with the dead through powers of the mind that we don't understand. What if YOU were able to infrequently "tune in" to the spirit world? Let's say that we ARE able to u… Continue
I went to the Gettysburg Battlefield last night for some photo work. Late in the trip, I was at a statue of a general upon a horse. This was a huge monument not too far from the hospital site I visited frequently last year. At one point, the sound of horse trotting was heard. The trotting sounded as if it was upon cement or pavement. The strange thing is, the only hard surface nearby was the monument's granite on which I stood. I wasn't carrying any recording equipment since I wasn't expecting a… Continue

While watching TV earlier today, I happened to find an episode of Paranormal State on A&E. This show does little for my time - just as poor as Ghost Hunters and those other shows. When I seek entertainment, I cannot find anything on TV to satisfy. I have Verizon Fios and it does nothing for me at all.
I used to stay up late during the week to listen to Coast to Coast AM as I drifted off to sleep. Maybe I should give that a try more often.
Horrorfind Weekend looks to be on the downturn. As… Continue
The following article was found at scrib.com. It has been slightly edited (English spelling) and re-posted in text format here for your enjoyment:
This article simply tells you how to see spirits / ghosts.
There are many ways of how to see ghosts, some people may make them up in their heads and not
realize it, but I can say you CAN see spirits with your eyes, every one can.
Its like riding a bike for the first time, or anything else involving a skill. Your not going to be good a… Continue

Last night my fellow ghost hunter and I went to Gettysburg for some outdoor investigating. What happened during the outing changed everything about the ways in which we think.
We arrived at the Gettysburg Battlefield around 6pm and did a little bit of driving throughout the area. We made a few stops to talk to other ghost hunters, made some good conversation, and found a spot that we had decided to conquer later in the evening, at dusk. We went for a bite to eat and made our way back to our spo… Continue
Holzer's beliefs about mediums are clear in his classic book, :The Ghost Hunter". He states that it is absolutely necessary for him to acquire the services of a medium for every investigation. I tend to think this is my belief as well. My problem is - I don't know a local medium! Continue

I've boycotted Horrorfind Weekend events since finding out that the event creators are assholes who do NOT wish to care about what REAL horror fans WANT. Too bad! I'll miss the damn thing... :( Continue

I don't know about you, but I've never been ghost hunting on the 4th of July. I wonder if battlefields, national cemeteries, and other locations of patriotic rememberance have any activity on Independence Day? Do you know if this is true, or false? Please let me know what you think... Continue

I got a new cell phone recently and it has made me think about the possibilities of mobile phone tools and apps. The phone's camera is only 1.3mp, but when all most of us do is upload our photos to the web (and store them on computers), it makes perfect sense to think of using a mobile phone camera for ONE THING. It can store photos on a micro SD card - so that I can carry my photos around 24/7 to share with others.
Flickr is a great online photo sharing and storage service. If you haven't sign… Continue

Summertime... it's about here. During this time of the year, most ghost hunters roam the backroads at sundown and park alongside some dark, dingy location. Ready for the collection of evidence, we take out the usual goods; cameras, batteries, flashlights, emf meters, recording equipment, and (if you're like me) a cold bottle of Coca-Cola.
The problem with summertime ghost hunting is the mass amount of dust/moisture orbs that are captured on digital cameras. These pesky things have ruined the ho… Continue
