About Me:
I am a Lead Investigator for Skylands Paranormal Investigations. Our group is dedicated to scientific research of paranormal phenomena, specifically the study of key environmental parameters before, during, and after a paranormal event. For SPI, it's not about catching a ghost on film; it's about knowing how it got there in the first place. I am also a member of New Jersey Ghost Hunters Society and work with several other groups in the area on a limited basis.

I hold a BS in Chemical Engineering and a BA in Chemistry from Virginia Tech. An engineer in the "real world", I work for a major pharmaceutical company and will be pursuing an MS degree in Pharmaceutical Engineering beginning in Fall 2007.

I'm also a published TV critic, and as a part of that, I review shows like "Lost", "Heroes", "Supernatural", and "Ghost Hunters".

So you are into paranormal research and a chemical engineer, I have a question if you don't mind me asking. I am curious if there is any research which documents or is studying the interaction of investigators and the amount of activity present during an investigation. For instance, we know if an animal is in heat she can attract males from miles away. I am curious if menapausal women, women cycling, men excited, etc., can manipulate something in the environment which alters it enough or their psych enough that they get or generate more activity. I know, off the wall, but if we are to consider environment then why would we not consider the influence of biological factors also in correlating research. I haven't a clue how one would monitor such things, but I think it is an important factor to consider.
