I think when posting any pictures and on a forum, that is what you should expect to get. As being in this field you also need to know many things, such as matrixing, and pareidolia. You always have to take the opinions you don't like and the ones you like. Deleting comments that have been made I think is wrong, you may disagree but people who erase comments are being one sided. Being mad at someone who may disagree will go no where.

I get plenty of ignorant comments at my blog but I just laugh them off for the most part.

I am not talking about ignorant replies, others will know they are worthless, I am talking about replies that are legit as to if what you have in a picture that could be pareidolia or matrixing. Many pictures are due to shutter speed and motion, people claim to be paranormal and most of the time they do not understand this. EXIF on the picture will help in these cases, if the picture is the original.

Lets face it, skeptics (or debunkers as they like to think of themselves) actually help to keep us critical of ourselves, they are actually necessary. We cannot and must not call every odd thing we see in a picture a ghost, or we will never gain any credibility with those whom doubt ghosts exist, and worse, we introduce doubt to those who are sitting on the fence of belief. I myself am a believer in ghosts, I lived in a house for eighteen years in which footsteps would wander through the house at night, and occasionally things would fall or fly through the air, never breaking upon landing on the floor, not once. My mother and my sisters regularly heard others of us call their names, when none of us either said or heard anything ouselves. I have spoken to many people in public settings who were afraid to tell of their experiences until they heard me speak of mine without fear, then they told of things which had similarities and differences to my own experiences. I have no doubt that ghosts exist, however I consider every piece of evidence suspect. It must be examined, and every other explanation ruled out before any claim of ghostly evidence is made. We must police ourselves so that others are not given the opportunity to. Anyone who claims that any piece of evidence is a fake, without very good evidence to prove it however, is no better than the person who finds a smudge or a spot on their film and immediately claims it as a ghost. We can each be believers for our own reasons, but when it comes to evidence, we must all be skeptics and welcome those who criticize our evidence.

I HAVE TO AGREE WITH YOU FULLY! ANYONE WHO HAS'NT SPENT A WHOLE NIGHT DOING INVESTIGATIONS ONLY TO LEAVE IN TIME TO MAKE IT TO WORK, AND SPENT COUNTLESS HOURS GOING OVER EVERY SMALL DETAIL OF 800 PICTURES, 26 HOURS OF VIDEO, AND 20 HOURS OF AUDIO REALLY DOSENT HAVE ANY IDEA! OR MAYBE THE COVERAGE FROM A LIVING ROOM SOFA IS JUST THAT GOOD?

Well Tkay why don't you explain the EXIF data and how to break it down and what happens with all the variables of shutter speed, motion, to ISO and all the components of the EXIF data and how each relates to the photo and effect produced from each setting and all variables? Also how would you explain this to the beginners as to why they need to understand this data, also what happens when a photos EXIF data is missing? does that eliminate the photo as being paranormal? How does EXIF prove or disprove an anomaly? :)
I have seen a FEW post this data but never say what it relates to, or even explain the point they are making posting it, I have to guess some just post it trying to look like they know something when they really dont...wouldn't you agree?

Not to mention any name...

The irony IS that the ones that criticize the most and use terms such as "matrixing, and pareidolia" often in the incorrect context are those that have posted the most salient examples of this themselves elsewhere ...It is this kind of hypocrisy that diminishes or completely negates any or all credibility these self proclaimed photographic experts may have or ever will have ...
...One in particular likes to copy and paste EXIF data every time a photos is posted by a new member elsewhere with no clarification as to what significance this arcane photographic nomenclature represents or how it may have produced the anomalies present in the submitted photos ...often this is a reply to new members that have admitted to being a novice with digital cameras, yet instead of explaining what the data she extracted from the photo properties signifies, she usually just makes a condescending if not outright demeaning accompanying comment ...it is often quite obvious that she has NO clue what relevance the EXIF data has to the photos in question, it is just another opportunity to try and convince everyone of her pseudo expertise that are not savvy enough to see through this facade....Remember this is someone that has consistency blown up and over pixelated photos over the years and exhibited the most textbook examples of apophenia and simulacrum imagery that are in most cases simply artifacts resultant of over editing her own and the photos of others ...she was smart enough to recently delete all of her own photos illustrating the history of this blaring contradiction and as her skills have not progressed, she has become this bitter, self loathing, skeptical hypocrite ...

again not to mention any names ;) .....

I believe! I write fiction, but am greatly inspired by what i read and see. And I owe all of that to the people who go out there and investigate the paranormal.
So thank you!
